Diversity and inclusion.
Behind every story there is a child of God. That principle defines whom we accompany and how we treat each person.
Principle
Eccekenoo accompanies people leaving prison, people without a home, survivors of abuse and migrants regardless of nationality, ethnic origin, sex, age, disability, creed or social condition. Mercy welcomes without judging; responsibility accompanies without excluding.
Freedom of conscience
Spiritual formation is always voluntary. It is offered, never imposed, and respects each person's freedom of conscience, whether or not they profess a faith. It complements, and never replaces, qualified professional care.
Volunteers, allies and donors
We apply the same principle to those who work with us and support us. We do not tolerate harassment or discrimination in our activities, online or in person. Anyone can report a situation to the contact form and will be treated confidentially.
Legal framework
Political Constitution of Costa Rica (article 33, equality before the law), Law 7600 and Law 8661 on the rights of persons with disabilities, and the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
