What it is
Ave María Gratia Plena is the work's law firm: counsel and defence, training and formation. Its educational courses draw on the Virgin Mary, patroness of Costa Rica, on constitutional norms and on international law.
It seeks to empower users of health services and to make health workers aware of their rights and responsibilities, so as to prevent violations in the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual spheres.
Legal defence
The firm offers legal defence against malpractice in health care and against violations of human rights at work by private companies or public institutions. In cases of medical negligence, malpractice or denial of services it brings claims at the national and international level.
Two fronts concentrate the work: malpractice in health care and institutional abuse, private and public. This integral programme strengthens the protection of the fundamental rights to life and to health from a Catholic legal and doctrinal perspective.
